Recipient of an AIA design award, this facility nestles amongst the wooded pedestrian paths of The Ramble, a new community near Asheville’s Biltmore Estate. A rainwater-collecting butterfly roof shelters a lounge and demonstration kitchen, while the fieldstone plinth below houses gym, spa, and yoga functions.
Solar and geothermal technology, as well as the use of local materials, contribute to the sustainability of the Center.
