This 9000 sf 5 bedroom house occupies a double lot in the Gravesend neighborhood of Brooklyn. It takes its inspiration from urban architecture of northeastern Europe, while complying with strict local covenants which prescribe roof heights and pitches. The interior has a formal suite of rooms separated from a more private family room, by a soaring glazed stair hall. The interior detailing was inspired primarily by the work of Eliel Saarinen.
